Security accreditation

Exlabesa’s newly launched steel replacement window suite has achieved PAS 24 security accreditation. Derek Hodgson, Exlabesa’s general manager, said: “Our KS59 suite offers incredible versatility and the PAS 24 security accreditation only adds to this.”

The PAS 24 accreditation was tested using the Mustang Slim Line Reverse Espag lock from the Trojan Group.

“PAS 24 accreditation is increasingly important these days because of the Document Q requirements as well as homeowners’ increasing security expectations,” Derek said.

The KS59 window suite is designed for the steel replacement market and offers a technically advanced framing system with slim sightlines. It can be used in punched hole, composite and ribbon window refurbishment schemes as well as new build projects.

The KS59 window suite has polyamide thermally broken aluminium frames for improved thermal efficiency and is fully drained using either a cill section or a face-drain cap that has an internal baffle that stops wind noise and minimises the build-up of water. Trickle ventilation to Building Regulations can also be integrated. The system is weather tested to BS 6375-1 and operation and strength tested to BS 6375-2.

The system is fabricated using a mechanical corner cleat, and it can be dry glazed using clip-in beads. The system uses 28mm glass as standard and is suitable for top and side hung applications. Easy clean and egress options are also available.
