New VS window hardware
Yale has launched the Vertex range of decorative hardware for vertical sliding windows.
Yale teamed up with vertical sliding and sash window specialists, for “months of intensive research and development”. The new range was designed to complement and maintain the traditional aesthetics seen on sash windows, a framework that is most commonly found in British period style homes.
The range includes pole rings, sash lifts, latch knobs, travel restrictors, sash locks and keeps, which are suitable for both timber and PVCU applications.
Available in a variety of traditional colour options such as champagne gold and chrome, as well as contemporary variations such as satin black and silver, colours can be mixed and matched with other Yale decorative door and window hardware.
Designed, developed and tested in the UK, the Vertex sash lock is PAS24 compliant as standard, and the whole range has been beta tested with a number of fabricators.
The Vertex range is covered under the Yale Lifetime Security Guarantee, which includes up to £3,250 towards repairs or replacements, insurance excess and securing the property, all in the event of a break-in, as well as discounts on the Yale store.
Grant Stratford, technical director for window hardware at Yale, said: “We worked with a team of internal and independent experts from beginning to end on this project, ensuring every aspect of the range was of the highest quality. The aesthetics, functionality and durability of the range was at the forefront of our minds at all times.”
Paul Atkinson, sales and commercial director, said: “The technical team are now working long and hard to develop a functional hardware range for sash windows.”
