Hands on something new

Flat Glass Solutions not only exhibited some of its market leading machinery at Visit Glass, but also took the opportunity to get to know their customers a little better.
On the stand was a Dieffe water treatment centrifuge, a Battellino rotary table and snip saw for IG manufacturing, an Elephant vacuum lifter for glass, and an EPO Glass laminating oven. All of these were really well received, the company said.

Managing director Dave Cahill said: “We not only wanted to demonstrate our products and new ideas to the industry, but also engage with prospective and existing customers. Before the show I was interested to see how Visit Glass would fair, as it had been such a long time since we had a glass show in the UK.”

“I am really pleased to say we had a fantastic time, with three sales confirmed at the show! Everyone who came onto our stand was genuinely interested in what we had to offer, and there’s nothing quite like giving them something to see and touch to generate real interest. Getting to view something new is much better than a cold call.”

Flat Glass Solutions is rapidly making an impact within the glass industry, the company said. Dave and his colleagues – Dave Robson and Darren Oakley – all have engineering backgrounds, and their combined 60 years’ plus experience in the industry means there’s not much they can’t help advise with, when supporting the purchase of flat glass machinery and equipment.
“We are able to offer standard or completely bespoke solutions for our clients, something made possible by the strength of our supplier relationships,” Dave said. “Having worked on varied and sometimes highly technical projects over the years, we can help source and deliver exactly what you want.

“Visit Glass helped us to strengthen those relationships, and we are now working hard to follow up on all the leads.”
