Caledonia Doors Opens Up New Options For Scottish Customers

Caledonia Doors has extended its range of high quality PVC-U doors and windows to include REHAU’s AGILA sliding door, providing a wider offering to its end user and trade customers.

Based in Cumbernauld, just north of Glasgow, Caledonia Doors decided to include the sliding door in its portfolio after increasing customer demand for large span doors. As the company already fabricated REHAU’s AGILA composite door, the transition to REHAU’s sliding door was an obvious one.

The AGILA sliding door has slim sightlines to maximise light into a room and can be used as either a patio or entrance door. The doors are double glazed for maximum energy efficiency and like the AGILA composite range, they come in a range of foils thanks to REHAU’s extensive selection of traditional and contemporary laminates. Because the AGILA sliding doors are PVC-U, they are also low maintenance and stay looking good for longer.

To be able to fabricate the sliding doors, the Caledonia Doors’ team were given training by REHAU engineers. The comprehensive training days included information on how to make the doors, the hardware options available, and the necessary quality checks needed to ensure each AGILA sliding door meets the REHAU standard. On successful completion of the training, Caledonia Doors will be perfectly placed to provide their customers with the expertise required to produce a high quality product, which will in turn open up more opportunities for them.

Kevin Byrne, from Caledonia Doors, said: “We look forward to manufacturing, what we have assessed to be, a fantastic system with same passion and dedication we currently employ with our composite door range. With the continued support of REHAU we have been able to maximise the quality of all our products, which makes this transition to the AGILA Sliding Door the perfect move for our progressive company at this time.“

Hormoz Nouri, Sales Manager, from REHAU said: “We have been working with Caledonia Doors for some time and we have seen the stunning work they do with the AGILA Composite doors – using exciting colours and styles to give customers bespoke solutions – so we are looking forward to seeing some of their first AGILA Sliding doors to come off the production line. They are a company dedicated to giving customers a high-end product and we are confident that the new addition to their portfolio will win them as much acclaim as their composite offer.”
