Open door to opportunities
We work very hard to continuously improve the offerings that we provide to our partners, in terms of product, lead time and market-leading support initiatives. We recently introduced the Origin Residential Door to the Origin Home Range, which gives our partners a front and garage door to add to their portfolios.
This allows them to offer an even more integrated front of house look to their customers, as well as additional sales potential of cross selling opportunities.
Since introducing the Residential Door, it has always been our intention to improve its lead time to bring it more in line with our renowned Origin Bi-fold Door and Origin Window. As such, we are now happy to announce that we have improved this gold standard of service by introducing the two most popular panel choices on the Residential Door (SE04 and SE07) onto a two-week lead time promise, when selected in 7016M and 9005M. With huge investment in additional stock and hardware, it now means that we are able to manufacture and supply Origin partners with the Residential Door quicker than ever before.
By adding these panel choices onto a two-week lead-time, it gives our partners a much more defined timeframe for delivery right from the point of ordering. This means that installation scheduling can be done with far more certainty, and cash flow is improved. With an increased assurance, our partners can take on more projects, leading to greater profits.
As always, we will continue to innovate, looking to further improve on this promise, with the bifold door and window systems already available on a zero lead time. This is where partners specify when they want the product to be delivered – even if it’s for the next day.
However, as you can imagine, manufacturing a bespoke aluminium door is incredibly complicated. It has to be able to come in a variety of sizes and shapes, making the manufacturing process unique each time. By moving onto a two-week lead-time, we are showing the huge amount of confidence that we have and the promise we are willing to make to our partners. We continue to be dedicated to improving and innovating.
Origin is now at that stage, and we are excited to see the positive impact it will have on our partners. It is sure to cause a disruption in the marketplace. I can promise that this will not be the last time I am here talking about the lead-times on the Residential Door, so stay tuned.
