National timber staircase and windows suppliers StairBox and Wooden Windows have expanded with a 30,000ft2 extension.

The two sister companies, which combined employ more than 100 workers, has continued to grow over the past three years, meaning more space was required to increase efficiency, delivery and output.

The new space will now be used for assembly, finishing, and quality control, which will free up space to house three new CNC machines. This expansion also means up to 20 new employees will be recruited in the next 12 months.

Alex Hancock, director of StairBox said: “We have had a fantastic couple of years and the businesses are going from strength to strength, which we believe is due to the quality of our service and products.”

Wooden Windows recently rebranded from TA Windows in a bid to appeal to a wider customer base and to enhance the company’s national visibility, and a focus on online sales in the past 10 years has helped increase the sales of both businesses.

Director of Wooden Windows Mark Winter said: “We will now be able to increase our output by 25% which will complement the growing demand. It also means we will be able to create several new jobs and add to our fantastic workforce.”
