Senior opens the door to innovation
Senior has launched a new aluminium entrance door, in collaboration with Hallmark Doors and Panels, that features the company’s ‘Pure’ technology. The result is a door that offers enhanced thermal-efficiency and first class security.
Senior Architectural Systems, said to be the UK’s largest privately owned aluminium fenestration solutions manufacturer, has joined forces with composite door supplier Hallmark Doors and Panels to create a new residential entrance door that combines patented Pure thermal-efficiency with PAS 24 security.
The two British based manufacturers have developed a robust external door option by combining Senior’s low U-value Pure commercial door frame with Hallmark’s stylish aluminium door panels.
The system has been fully tested to meet the security standards of PAS 24 and to offer exceptional energy-efficiency.
The new front door option is available in a choice of designs from Hallmark’s range of over 50 aluminium door panels which includes both classic and contemporary styles. This design flexibility is supported by Senior’s Pure technology, with the door frame benefitting from a thermal barrier created using ultra-efficient polyurethane foam. The Hallmark door panels also feature an effective Raventherm thermal core for extra efficiency, with optional glazing trims.
For enhanced durability and appearance, Hallmark uses a four-stage pre-treatment process and cuts the door panels to size before powder coating to ensure a water tight seal to the edge of the aluminium skins.
According to Senior, its thermally-enhanced Pure aluminium windows and patio door range has been widely installed across the residential sector and claims that its Pure commercial door, its largest and strongest door to date, has also made an impression thanks to its suitability for use as a main entrance system in high-rise apartment schemes.
The unique design of the Pure aluminium doors and window range has recently led to Senior winning a prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise, with the company being recognised in the innovation category.
By teaming up with Hallmark Doors and Panels, Senior says that its Pure technology can be used across the full fenestration package for residential projects, with the added reassurance of meeting the highest security standards and full compliance with PAS 24.
Senior’s sales director, James Keeling-Heane, said: “We are excited to be embarking on this new partnership with Hallmark and to be able to bring our patented low U-value Pure doors to a new type of residential customer.
“By being able to offer an efficient and attractive aluminium front door system we are continuing the evolution of our Pure range and making stylish, secure, and sustainable aluminium fenestration accessible to a wider market.”
Paul Spencer, sales director at Hallmark, added: “We are proud to be working in collaboration with Senior on this exciting venture. As the demand for full aluminium systems grows in the UK, together we can offer the trade and end users a comprehensive range of high-quality premium aluminium doors.”
The bespoke aluminium door panels can be ordered directly from Hallmark and then fitted into Senior’s Pure commercial doors. Customers are advised to clearly state their requirements at the specification stage as this is not a standard product.
Senior’s in-house team is on hand to offer technical support and guidance on the new front door option, and fabricators and installers are invited to contact their local technical sales manager for more information.
