Five star

Sheerline’s innovative S3 roof system drew plenty of acclaim at this year’s FIT Show. In this article, we look at five reasons why…

Sheerline Bespoke made a confident debut at the 2025 FIT Show, unveiling the S3 modern single pitch lean to roof system to a hugely positive response.

The latest addition to the aluminium specialist’s S Series, which includes the award-winning S1 roof lantern and the versatile S2 glazed roof, the S3 impressed visitors with its unique combination of style, performance, and installer-friendly features.

As the conversation around conservatories continues to evolve into glazed extensions, Sheerline Bespoke has clearly hit the mark with a product that aligns with current market needs.

Operations director, Chris Baron and commercial director, Chris Cooke, well-respected figures in the roof industry with decades of combined expertise, were both on hand to speak to visitors about Sheerline Bespoke and the S3 – and here are their five key reasons why the S3 proved to be a standout attraction.

  1. Best-in-class thermal insulation

Thermal performance has become a top priority when specifying glazed extension products, and the S3 delivers. Using Sheerline’s Thermlock technology, which features on the S1 roof lantern, the roof reportedly offers up to 230% better insulation than traditional conservatory roofs. This significantly improves energy efficiency and comfort for end users, giving installers a strong selling point.

Operations director, Chris Baron, explained: “Visitors couldn’t believe the performance figures. It’s not just better, it’s game-changing when you realise how this could replace older systems and genuinely raise the bar.”

  1. A new standard in guttering

A major talking point at the Sheerline Bespoke stand was the S3’s premium guttering system. Visitors were impressed by its fully integrated design, which includes a continuous aluminium rain baffle, an insulated eaves beam, and a full aluminium gutter.

“The guttering has been a real point of interest,” said commercial director, Chris Cooke. “Installers appreciated the way it’s designed to fit seamlessly but also the sleek, high-end finish it adds.”

  1. A contemporary look that’s truly unique

With deep 50mm wide internal rafters that follows the same sleek design as the S1, and shallow external rafter caps, the S3’s full aluminium design, with all exterior components powder coated aluminium, is modern, architectural, and unlike anything else on the market. Deep internal structural bars continue the premium look. It is also available with Sheerline’s Sheervent technology for stylish automated ventilation.

“The styling, the proportions, it just looks right,” noted Chris Baron. “It offers a clean, minimalist look that reflects the move away from traditional conservatories to sleek, open-plan glazed extensions, which means customers can win more work.”

  1. Simplified installation with ready-to-go kits

Ease of installation was another headline benefit. The S3 is delivered in pre-configured kits with fewer components than a traditional ‘lean-to’ system, allowing for faster on-site assembly and fewer opportunities for error. This system is designed for minimal disruption, including the ability to retrofit onto existing conservatory bases.

Chris Cooke said: “It’s not just about aesthetics, the practical, installer-ready design was a massive win. And the beauty of our S3 roof system is that it will allow Sheerline fabricators to offer complete aluminium glazed extension kits that perfectly match so installers can remove an old conservatory with the complete extension fitting perfectly on the existing base.”

  1. A fully suited system

The S3 is fully suited with the complete range of Sheerline aluminium windows and doors, giving fabricators and installers a consistent and professional look across an entire project. This alignment ensures colour matching, continuity, and a streamlined installation process.

“One thing that stood out was how much people valued the system being fully suited,” added Chris Cooke. “It’s not just a roof, it’s a key part of a wider system, and that creates real confidence for customers.”
