Branching out into aluminium

Following 25 years as a PVC fabricator, Warwick North West has made the decision to start manufacturing a full suite of aluminium products. Director, Greg Johnson, explains more.
Established in 1998, Warwick Development North West started manufacturing Eurocell PVC-U windows and doors in 2002, following a successful move to a larger premises.
We started off fabricating Eurocell’s casement and tilt and turn windows along with entrance and French doors, products that are today made with the Eurologik70 system.
Over the years, we went on to add several premium Eurocell products to our range, including Charisma, the high performing sliding sash window, and Modus, the seven-chambered flush sash casement that can accommodate a 44mm triple glazed IGU, achieving U-values as low as 0.7.
We also invested in our own in-house IGU manufacturing unit, meaning customers are supplied with fully manufactured glass units along with their frames, saving time and hassle.
In 2015, we decided to rebrand as Warwick North West, and have continued our strong and reliable partnership with Eurocell. We’re a very proud manufacturer of their products, we have a great relationship with them, and their motto ‘all together better’ is 100% true.
To mark 25 years in the industry is a huge achievement, and we certainly could not have done it without the support of our valued customers, staff, and reliable supplier network.
Branching out
Following our very successful and ongoing partnership with Eurocell, 25 years also marks another big milestone for Warwick North West – a branch out into aluminium.
While aluminium has long been the material of choice for commercial projects, it’s also seen a steady increase in popularity within the domestic sector in recent years. And even though it’s still the pricier option compared to PVC-U or composite products, we’re seeing more and more end users willing to pay premium for the added quality and luxury of aluminium windows and doors.
At Warwick North West, we had previously dipped our toe into the aluminium sector by manufacturing bi-fold doors, but this year, we decided to make a full commitment and invest in an entire range.
Over the past few months, we have invested in a new factory unit, separate production line, additional staff, and new state-of-the-art machinery in order to successfully deliver our new aluminium offering.
The range includes Garnalex’s Sheerline casement window and roof lantern, as well as high-quality bi-folds and sliding patio doors from Cortizo.
The great innovation from these product ranges, the investment and proven success of the people have all been driving forces behind our decision, and with fabricator and installer friendly designs, they are a perfect fit for us.
Sheerline’s prestige window system, for example, boasts many PVC-U attributes, such as pre-fitted gaskets, saving both manufacturing and installation time, while Cortizo’s sliding doors provide a super sleek system and a high-end door solution for modern properties.
Our installer customers not only benefit from a wide range of high-quality products, but from exceptional service, too, backed up by dedicated sales coordinators to help manage their accounts, while also providing a wealth of technical knowledge and support behind the scenes.
Thriving future
Having started out as a small PVC-U manufacturer, Warwick North West has a long and rich history, growing into a company with over 120 staff and an annual turnover of over £12 million, becoming the leading supplier of choice for both PVC-U and aluminium installers in the North West of the UK.
I’m certain that with continual investment, fostering successful relationships with our suppliers, and following consumer demand, the company will continue to thrive for another 25 years – and more.
