Focus on the opportunities

Another day, another gloomy outlook on the cost of living. Should we be panicking?

In an open letter to the industry, Sternfenster’s sales director, Nathan Court, says that while the industry should be braced for a ‘tough few months’, fabricators and installers should focus on the opportunities, rather than panic about the challenges.

In his letter, Nathan references inflation peaking at 13.3% in October this year. At the time of writing, the latest forecast is for that to rise to 18% in January 2023, and there is talk of the Bank of England having to respond to that by increasing interest rates to 7%.

As Nathan says, the situation ‘doesn’t look that rosy’ but he also points to continuing demand among the top 20% of households by income and says that Sternfenster is in a good position to help customers – and other fabricators – target that demographic.

The investment means that Reynears can now hold around 40% additional stock, with the additional capacity helping to reduce lead times and ‘future proof’ the business to meet ongoing demand.
