Glass Times editor Nathan Bushell reports on a successful face-to-face networking event.

Thank you to everyone who attended last week’s Glass Times Race Day, which was held at Epsom Downs Race Course.

And thank you to all the sponsors who made it happen: Aluk, Emplas, Extrudaseal, Quickslide, Supalite, Unique, Window Widgets.

We also held a charity raffle, organised by Sarah Hitchings from Window Widgets, who is aiming to raise £21,000 in the company’s 21st year of operation. Together, we put £1847.75 towards that total, which will go to GM Fundraising and We Mind & Kelly Matters.

It was a fantastic day, with jockey-turned-tipster David Crosse providing an entertaining summary of the race card. But that aside, it was terrific being in the same room as so many of the industry’s finest individuals.

Glass Times’s publishers Andy and Mandy Westhead have had many years’ success with the annual event at Haydock – usually held in the first week of July – and its southern counterpart could easily match it in terms of numbers, with more than 250 turning up for the inaugural event.

Contact Andy Westhead for information on either event, which will take place again next year.

Photos from the day will be published in October’s Glass Times.
