Business Pilot has launched anΒ Assure Self-Certification Export Template, designed to make it easier for installers to register their work with Assure – without the hassle of duplicate data entry.

With the new update, installers can select Assure as their preferred self-certification scheme within Business Pilot. Once set, contracts needing certification are flagged during the normal workflow. The system then reuses existing project details, so the certificate is generated quickly and accurately, with no risk of errors from re-keying information.

After export, the file can be uploaded straight into the Assure system, ensuring compliance is completed on time and with minimal effort.

β€œWe know that compliance can often create an extra administrative burden for installers, and it’s easy for paperwork to pile up,” said Elton Boocock, managing director of Business Pilot. β€œOur aim with the Assure export template is to create a simple, reliable process that uses information already held in Business Pilot.

β€œThis means installers can focus on delivering great service to their customers, while having peace of mind that certification is being handled correctly.”

By embedding Assure certification into the CRM, installers only need to enter information once to see it carried through automatically to certification. This reduces the chance of mistakes, speeds up submission, and ensures homeowners receive the right documents without delay.

According to Business Pilot, the result is greater efficiency, smoother compliance management and fewer costs linked to manual data handling.

Elton added: β€œFor us, it’s all about making the installer’s life easier. Compliance is a crucial part of the industry, but it shouldn’t be complicated or time-consuming. By integrating tools like the Assure export template, we’re helping our users run their businesses more smoothly, while maintaining the highest professional standards.”

Installers who want to explore the Assure export feature in more detail can do so at Business Pilot’s upcoming open training days. These events provide hands-on guidance and practical advice from the training team, helping users get the most from the CRM system.

The next Open Training Days will take place on 11 September at the Crowne Plaza, Birmingham NEC, and in Bristol on 22 October.
