Residential conversion
A conversion of a Victorian warehouse into residential accommodation has used Spectus Elite 70 doorsets.
The project features two entrances that were manufactured by Derbyshire-based Spectus fabricator Titan Trade Windows, and installed by Leicestershire’s The Right Window Company.
Ben Vowles, operations manager at Titan, said: “The project needed exceptional attention to detail to deliver a high quality finish. The position of the mullions was key in ensuring the sightlines were intact with the first-floor frames and also gave internal clearance for the stairs.
“Conversations with the Epwin Window Systems technical team helped us develop the right solution. We used the structural mullion profiles not only between the shaped frames and doorset frames but also between the doors and sidelights. The level of support we were able to offer thanks to the technical team at Epwin Window Systems meant The Right Window Company had the confidence in us to manufacture and deliver the doorsets.
“This in turn allowed them to focus on the installation and care for their customer.”
