Natural environment

Senior’s Hybrid was recently used at the Robert Mays School in Odiham, Hampshire, which is one of the latest education contracts to be delivered by Senior, alongside long-term supply chain partners Morgan Sindall and Soundcraft.

Senior’s Hybrid windows, doors and curtain wall systems combine robust aluminium externally with sustainable sourced timber on the inside of the frame.

The Hybrid range also offers exceptional thermal efficiency, making it ideal for use in educational settings where a more natural and comfortable environment is desired.

A new two-storey building was created to offer additional facilities including classrooms and a library. The new teaching block features Senior’s timber aluminium Hybrid curtain wall system, which has been integrated with the Hybrid Series 3 casement windows to achieve an attractive flush finish.

The choice of the Hybrid system was also inspired by the desire to ensure that the fenestration package would complement the history and heritage of the school, which was first established in the 1600s, while offering a high-performance solution appropriate for the demands and requirements of a modern-day building.
