Low maintenance and robust
Liniar’s products were recently used on The Embankment, a project run by Fenwood Estates by the canal in Mexborough.
For the 17 properties close to the canal, products were required to provide a maintenance-free garden; Fenwood Estates needed decking to sit on an elevated structure and encompass fencing products, which would be low maintenance and robust.
The windows at The Embankment are Liniar flush sash casement windows, foiled in 7016 Grey, with French doors to match. Obtaining low maintenance, lead-free decking and fencing to match the windows was the perfect solution, Fenwood Estates said.
“Building homes on a canal provides the perfect backdrop for lazy nights, barbecues and summer days. Fenwood Estates sought to provide a raised area that would be kept clear and dry, while providing a maintenance-free outdoor space that required no sanding, staining or painting.
“The Liniar team visited The Embankment building site to provide advice and insight, as well as offering free product install training which proved invaluable to our teams. When we ordered Liniar’s decking it arrived with a raised, robust steel sub-frame, which achieved the ‘raised’ perspective we were looking for.”
Fenwood chose Liniar’s decking in grey and chose foiled balustrades to match the Liniar windows that were already installed in the property. On the canal side of the deck glass panels were installed.
“To finish the back garden with perfection we chose to include privacy fencing from Liniar on either side of the deck with the posts foiled in 7016 Grey for a perfect match. The result was a welcoming deck space which has attracted many families already,” Fenwood said.
