Iconic feature
Specialist Glass Products (SGP) recently delivered 12mm-thick 3,200mm by 2,000mm toughened Pilkington optiwhite panels for the front entrance to the ‘Mamma Mia! The Party’ diner located at the O2, London.
A specification this size would typically take double the usual time to deliver, but SGP turned it around in just five days.
The glass needed to go through an extensive process of cutting, polishing and toughening.
Andrew Taylor, managing director of SGP, said: “SGP is one of the only companies to produced toughened glass to this size, and we are really pleased that the company chose us and trusted us to fulfil this project for an iconic feature in such a short turnaround.”
