Hörmann ALR F42 garage doors were recently specified for a luxury garage to house an extensive sports car collection.
The garage, part of a residential property in rural Ashridge Hertfordshire, was transformed from an existing building by APM Design and Build, and Nailormade Interior Design, and can house up to six cars.
The ALR F42 Hörmann doors are constructed from a lightweight, strong, aluminium framework with large glazing panels, and are typically used in commercial car showrooms due to their continuous window sections offering an unimpeded view.
This made them ideal for the project where displaying the cars was of prime importance to the client.
The three, fully automated 3,000mm x 2,165mm doors were fitted with scratch resistant Duratec synthetic glazing which supplies a permanently clear view. The anthracite grey glazing panels co-ordinate and complement the other materials used in the renovation.
