Quickslide has fabricated Epwin’s vertical sliding sash windows for the restoration of Harewood Estate farmhouse in Chapel Wold in Yorkshire.

Developer, Andas Homes, has worked with Quickslide on several premium, heritage projects for a number of years.

Andas Homes’ designer Holly Simpson said. “Chapel Wold is a luxury, sensitive renovation, which draws out the character of the existing buildings. We love the quality and performance of Quickslide’s sliding sash windows, in particular the run through sash horns which make the frame so authentic.”

Andas Homes opted for a bespoke colour frame for the project. Quickslide worked with colour coating specialists Kolorseal, to achieve the required hue, which was a specific shade of light grey.

Ben Weber, Quickslide’s managing director, said: “This luxury development at Chapel Wold is just the latest example of how our sash windows are transforming home design. Glazing elements are now so much more than just building products.

“They add value and personality to the very fabric of home building and are an integral and crucial consideration in the internal and external design of a home.”

Katrina Earl, sales director at Epwin Window Systems, concluded: “Our vertical sliding sash window is renowned in the industry for its ability to combine outstanding heritage aesthetics with modern-day thermal efficiency and security.”
