EcoSlide upgrades heritage home

Paisley based installer, Ace Windows, has upgraded a property in the West End of Glasgow with EcoSlide PVC-U sash windows from Victorian Sliders.

Ace Windows recommended EcoSlide in order to match the property’s period style.

ECOSlide sashes are said to offer numerous advantages, including:

• Energy efficiency: Achieving A+ window energy ratings, minimising heat loss, reducing energy bills, and providing a more comfortable living space.
• Ease of maintenance: The advanced tilt-in feature allows for cleaning from inside the home.
• Security: Includes toughened glass, key-operated locks, and an integrated anti-jemmy security bar.
• Low maintenance: Compared to traditional timber windows.

Understanding the importance of maintaining the heritage feel in the West End of Glasgow, Ace Windows also suggested adding ‘putty lines’ to the windows – commissioning a local artist to hand-paint putty lines onto the EcoSlide sashes.
