Senior Architectural Systemsβ slimline SF52 aluminium curtain wall system has been incorporated in a new Β£22m sports and leisure centre in Northumberland.
Designed by GT3 Architects, the Berwick leisure centre features a striking glazed facade.
Senior worked closely with specialist contractor Crown Doors and Shutters Limited and main contractor Tolent Construction to deliver the landmark leisure scheme. To ensure the townβs existing Swan Centre could remain operational throughout, the new leisure centre was constructed in two phases.
Senior is said to have a long history in the leisure sector and has provided aluminium fenestration solutions for a number of contracts across the UK, including for leisure chain David Lloydβs flagship club in Bristol.
Seniorβs SF52 aluminium system features slim sightlines and enhanced thermal performance. Available as a mullion drained system which removes the need for visible drainage slots, Seniorβs SF52 curtain wall can be specifiedΒ as capped, silicone sealed or as a combination of the twoΒ for even greater design flexibility.
Thanks to Seniorβs in-house powder coating facility, the SF52 system is available in anΒ almost unlimited range of colours and finishes.
