Council homes complete

Two new council housing developments in Cumbernauld have been completed to give 46 new homes to local residents.
Nursery Court offers 16 one and two-bedroom cottage flats, and 30 new homes have been built on Cardowan Drive. The windows and doors for the new homes were manufactured and installed by Walker Profiles.
Jim Gibson, director at Walker Profiles, said: “Windows and doors are key to delivering extra security and energy efficiency for tenants. All the ones for these schemes were manufactured and fitted to the higher Secured by Design specification. Our team installed white Rehau Total 70 tilt and turn windows which allow easy access for cleaning, and we complemented the windows with white composite doors to create an impressive entrance for the tenants.”
Walker Profiles is now working on a new build development of 37 units at Wester Inch, Bathgate for the provision of affordable housing to West Lothian Council.
Walker Profiles has a long-standing relationship with North Lanarkshire Council with an on-going maintenance contract with the council that covers more than 30,000 houses. The new homes are part of a new house building programme for the council which aims to deliver 2,150 homes by 2027.
