Over 300 Optima casement windows and 60 doors from Profile 22 were manufactured and installed in a new 85-bed care home and 45 assisted living apartments in Sutton Coldfield.
The contract was awarded to Sutton Designs in Kingstanding, Birmingham, with manufacturing undertaken by Central Window Systems in West Bromwich.
All windows were fitted with open-out restrictors for the safety of the residents, and all window and doors needed to comply with fire and smoke escape protection measures.
The windows and doors were manufactured in anthracite grey on white to match other developments in the building contractor’s portfolio.
Sutton Designs and Central Window Systems have worked together for more than three years. Together they ensured all windows and doors were manufactured and installed to the required timescales. The project was completed during the Covid pandemic, which meant appropriate health and safety considerations needed to be taken into account.
