A transformational installation

Epwin products have been used to transform a Welsh property as part of a significant remodelling project. The installation was carried out by Pearce Home Improvements which fitted Optima casement windows, entrance doors and PatioMaster sliding doors to the detached bungalow in Deganwy, North Wales.

Luke Pearce, owner of L Pearce Home Improvements, said: “The owner wanted to modernise his home and make the most of the outstanding views over the North Wales coastline. The aesthetics of the products combined with the superb thermal efficiency delivered at every level.”

The eight-week project involved a total refurbishment of the property. L Pearce Home Improvements installed 12 Optima windows and three Optima entrance doors in the property. The team also installed a total of four two-pane PatioMaster sliding doors.

One PatioMaster door in the open plan kitchen area was manufactured to just 1.7m high and 3m wide, delivering stunning views of the sea. Two corner patio doors, each 2.5m high and 3m wide were also fitted, giving panoramic vistas and creating a light-filled space in the living area.

Luke said: “By fitting a shorter PatioMaster door onto a newly constructed dwarf wall in the new kitchen area, we were able to open up the property’s front elevation and deliver a wider glass area to maximise the view and light potential into the home.”

All products were manufactured in anthracite grey on white to create a modern exterior while maintaining a neutral interior. Fabrication was undertaken by longstanding Epwin fabricator, Heritage Trade Frames.
