Yale develops PAS 24 patio lock for Epwin

Yale has developed a new PAS 24:2016 patio lock solution for Epwin Window Systems.

The bespoke lock is said to deliver ‘impeccable’ security, featuring 10 locking hooks and bespoke one-piece keeps with aesthetically pleasing packers and endcaps. The new lock has been designed to complement Epwin’s Optima profile.

Suitable for doors sizing from 1,785mm to 2,273mm rebate height, the lock successfully achieved PAS 24:2016 accreditation.

“We often look to Yale when it comes to the security of our products and are very pleased that we chose to partner with them to develop a PAS 24 patio lock solution,” explained Rob Shaw, design manager at Epwin Window Systems.

“We’re delighted with the result because it scores equally high marks for security and style, which is exactly what we were after.”

Paul Jelley, technical manager at Yale Door & Window Solutions, added: “We are always happy to develop bespoke solutions that meet our customers’ exact needs.

“Epwin Window Systems is a longstanding and valued Yale customer, and we are proud to have worked closely with them on this PAS 24 solution. It is based on our well-established patio lock range and is manufactured right here in the UK, at our Willenhall Centre of Excellence for Door Products.”
