With 40 years of partnership under their belt, we talk to Scott Wayne, director of Wayne Windows, about why the companyβs relationship with Sternfenster has stood the test of time.
Bognor Regis-based Wayne Windows has been installing windows, doors, and conservatories across West Sussex since 1975, and still operates as a family business. When Scott took over the business from his father in the mid-80s, the relationship with Sternfenster was born.
βWe were looking to go in a new direction with the quality and choice of our products when I took over, and we chose Sternfenster to do that with,β says Scott. βThat was 40 years ago, so you can guess that the change was a success!β
For Wayne Windows, one of the key factors in the longevity of their relationship with Sternfenster has been their service.
βOver a 40-year period, it would have been impossible for us to have never had an issue with a product,β says Scott. βBut the key thing for us, is that in the rare times that we have experienced an issue, it has been fixed immediately by Sternfenster.
βThe service is second to none, and because of that I wouldn’t want to change suppliers, even if it meant I was getting the products for less β thatβs how good it really is.β
Wayne Windows purchase a range of windows and doors across Sternfensterβs extensive product range, but according to Scott, the winner for them is their PVC-U casement window, fabricated from Deceuninckβs 2800 profile.
βThat is probably my favourite product of Sternfensterβs because it is the simplest window to install,β says Scott. βItβs not heavy, so it means we donβt have to dedicate extra guys on site to support with the installation, and we can be in and out of the customersβ home nice and quickly.
βThatβs the product we would recommend to most people in the industry.β
Wayne Windows is one of around 75% of Sternfensterβs customer base that takes advantage of the trade fabricatorβs SF+ system.

βI think SF+ is a fantastic platform. We can see the status of our orders, our quotes, any information that’s required on products β all in one place. Itβs so useful for us because we donβt have to spend time chasing things up on the phone: itβs all there on the platform,β says Scott.
