Two-decade milestone reached

Folding Sliding Doors is celebrating its 20-year anniversary, which is a huge milestone for any business.
The last 20 years has presented many challenges (Covid, recession, changes in building regulations, etc), but FSDC has continually evolved, adapted and innovated to keep abreast of industry changes and client expectations.
On the surface, the most obvious change is our name and logo: now referred to as FSDC Global, having previously traded throughout the UK and Europe as The Folding Sliding Door Company since 2001, and North America as Fold N Slide Systems.
We amalgamated in December 2019, and our name evolved to reflect our company’s global reach and aspirations.
We still remain the same independent family-owned business (although we now operate globally) with our roots firmly planted in door technology, and we still maintain the ethos of striving for perfection in everything we do.
Under the surface we continue to innovate by bringing out new products.
Product development is key, and through listening to our customers, and much R&D, FSDC Global has produced yet another fenestration industry first: the GlassIIEdge range, the only movable glass-to-edge aluminium system available on the market.
Patented technology in many countries, this unique door and window system offers the flexibility to customise the finish, product, style and material, whether in vinyl, aluminium, glass, timber or any other material.
Launched both sides of the Atlantic – at the NSBRC (National Self Build and Renovation Centre) in Swindon, and at the 2020 NAHB International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas – the new range sparked immediate attention with the public, home buyers, builders, dealers and architects alike.
The GlassIIEdge Range allows for a flush glazed finish, resulting in a frameless product range.
It was 2003 when founding owner Paul Shearman designed and introduced the UK’s first inline folding sliding door system, which revolutionised folding sliding door technology after.
Today, we not only produce world-class folding sliding doors (bifold doors to some) but we also offers customers custom-manufactured corner, French and sliding doors, fixed frames, room dividers, casement and bifolding windows with a 25-year product guarantee and a 10-year HomePro warranty, with delivery anywhere in the world.
We still offer one of largest selection of material options on the market, with choices in aluminium, PVC, timber, and our patented GlassIIEdge, and can manufacture taller and wider doors than most.
