Training centre welcomes the trade

Reynaers’ ‘state-of-the-art’ training centre offers a sleek and innovative space for industry professionals, the company has announced.

The new training centre in Birmingham’s Northfield opened in 2017, and has already welcomed more than 800 guests. Following a year of growth in the UK, in both commercial and residential markets, Reynaers has invested £6 million in its new Knowledge Centre, which includes the training facility.

Offering a showroom, training centres for fabricators and installers, and CPD for architects, the facilities allow industry professionals to keep up to date with the latest Reynaers’ range of aluminium systems.

The facade of the new HQ in Birmingham encases a 7,800m2 of space, allowing Reynaers to increase stock holding capacity by 200%.

Paul Kent, senior training officer from Reynaers, said: “We have a whole range of Reynaers courses for fabricators and installers, including product-specific training, software and practical manufacturing training.

“We limit the number of people on each course to a maximum of eight, so that we can provide a personal, friendly service. We can also present bespoke training days and updates for any new requirements to suit our customers’ needs.”

Reynaers continues to develop its range of products, which sees growing demand for training courses. The most recent additions include the SL 68, which has been designed for the UK residential windows market, offering ultra-slim frames, and a Window Energy Rating of A++. The slimline casement window system boasts Uw values down to 1.0W/m2K, Secured by Design accreditation, and PAS24 security.

Meanwhile, the CP 130, which is an insulated lift and slide patio sliding window and door system uses a corner design that eliminates the need for fixed corner elements. CP 130 is available with various opening possibilities, and the low threshold option offers a solution to improve building accessibility.

This robust system allows the construction of large sliding windows and doors with a vent weight up to 300kg. It also offers a slimline middle section.

Additionally, CP 130 can comply with burglar resistance Class 2, accredited by Secured by Design.

Reynaers’ third trade offering, the CF 68 system, has a range of ways to unfold numerous glass panes – the system can fold open to the inside or to the outside, from one to seven opening leafs. For the installer there is an adjustable side jamb.

CF 68 is highly insulated and is available in four different threshold solutions: from high performance, to even flush thresholds. The system is available with a burglar resistance Class 2, and has gained Secured by Design accreditation.
