Total Hardware renews SBD commitment

Total Hardware has announced its continued commitment to offering products that consistently offer high quality security performance by renewing its Secured by Design (SBD) accreditation, the flagship UK police initiative to help design out crime through the use of high-quality, innovative products and processes.

Chris Pell, general manager at Total Hardware, said: “Our customers know that security is a huge factor for contractors and homeowners and we are proud to have a range of hardware products that have achieved SBD accreditation.”

Total Hardware has SBD accreditation across a range of hardware products including its Quantum MK3 cranked and inline window handles, tilt and turn handles, duration friction stays, rapid fit door hinge and the flush sash and high security quad locks.

Chris commented: “The SBD accreditation gives fabricators peace of mind, knowing that the hardware has passed rigorous testing which presents an additional upsell.”

SBD technical manager, Alfie Hosker, said: “I know that Chris and the team at Total Hardware are developing and looking to add tested and certificated door and window hardware products to their Secured by Design Police Preferred Specification range.”

Chris concluded: “Products that meet the highest standards and comply with the latest regulations are vital. It’s something that Total Hardware take very seriously. Our customers depend on the quality and compliance of our products and we don’t let them down.”
