Solid roof trend continues to grow
Reading’s Homeview Windows started working with Leka Roof Systems over two years ago, installing both the warm roof and orangery roof products. The company now has three fitting teams dedicated entirely to fitting solid roofs.
Colin Stichbury, director at Homeview, said: “I liked the idea of a product that used GRP not aluminium. It means no wood worm or moisture absorption, no condensation and no thermal bridging.
“It also means the roof is exceptionally lightweight, typically weighing within 30kg-40kg of a traditional glass conservatory roof, so in most cases existing conservatory frames are able to take the weight of the new Leka roof without needing additional reinforcement.”
