Shrewsbury-based Heritage Glass has become a Kubu installer, adopting its smart-sensors on a range of doors in a newly refurbished showroom environment, supported by manufacturing partner CWG Choices.
While the Avantis multi-point lock includes a captive slot to receive the smart-sensor, making activation by the homeowner quick and easy, Heritage Glass will look to sell the Kubu Kits at the point of sale.
Tony Randall, managing director of Heritage Glass, said: “This is one of the most important developments in the industry for some years. To be aligned alongside the likes of Amazon, Apple and Google technology-wise is a must for the forward-thinking installation company.
“With a full marketing and showroom support programme, we’re certain that we’ll be able to close more sales and ultimately satisfy the consumer demand for more smart-tech in the home. The fact that Kubu is already proven from a testing and development point of view was also a must for us.”
