Coastal Group has launched a new straight sliding door system – HS Portal SCV Lift and Slide System – which it says not only makes manufacturing easier and quicker, but comes with a dedicated full technical support package.
The company has incorporated hardware technology into the new system designed to reduce manufacturing time and deliver an enhanced life span. It was designed after listening to feedback from joiners and homeowners alike to identify ways to improve existing sliding door systems.
A concealed top track in the head of the frame and slim bottom rail with no visible screw holes ensures a clean contemporary look while safety has been taken care of with a custom designed security hook lock with safer flush plate keeps that have no protruding bolts.
To meet the current trend for larger door leaves while retaining control of the door, hardware technology means even a sash weighing up to 400kg can be operated safely, conveniently and effortlessly. The new soft close and open option provides much greater control over the door, helping prevent injury and damage to the frame.
Other key features of the new system include weatherproof profiles and pre-machined resin thresholds.
