Hodgson Sealants’ sealant for facade and glazing applications Silfix U8 is now available in PVC white – a brilliant white colour designed for white PVC windows and doors.
Silfix U8 is a low modulus silicone sealant with excellent adhesion to a wide variety of building envelope substrates, the company said. Easy to apply and with good tooling properties, Silfix U8 is specially formulated and packaged for professional tradesmen including a special large nozzle for external construction joints.
Hodgson’s Silfix U8 is widely used in the glazing industry for perimeter pointing of door and window frames and bonding and sealing of PVCU trims and components.
It is also useful for sealing curtain walling and pre-formed panels, joints in roofing, cladding, insulation and guttering, and any construction joints where movement can occur.
Silfix U8 will bond metals including lead, copper and bronze and even seal between dissimilar materials such as PVCU, aluminium, composite and timber window and door frames into masonry, brick and plaster walls.
Hodgson’s Silfix U8 is neutral cure, solvent free, alkoxy silicone sealant available in PVC white and a wide range of other colours. It is CE marked and supplied in 380ml cartridges.
