New actuators
Vent Engineering launched the new Topp ACK5 chain actuator at FIT Show 2017. The next generation model of the ACK4, the ACK5 boasts a heavy-duty gearbox and 10% more openings.
As the UK’s sole distributor for Topp, Vent Engineering is providing a five-year warranty on the new model.
With a double link, stainless steel chain and upgraded metal cogs, the ACK5 actuator is more robust and reliable. Easy stroke adjustment allows for seven positions – 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, 250mm, 300mm, 350mm and 400mm – while an internal alarm sounds if it detects any obstructions.
The chain actuator has the option to be synchronised for simultaneous operation of up to four actuators on the same window or vent. Various bracket accessories enable the ACK5 to fit to virtually any window or vent.
Compact and easy to install, the ACK5 is available in black, white and grey as standard. For a bespoke finish, Vent Engineering can powder-coat in any RAL colour to suit the die-cast casing.
The Poole-based company also introduced exhibition visitors to the V1 sliding door actuator from Topp. A new product to the UK market, the V1 is a discreet unit that is easy to install and can be adapted for use with existing interior sliding doors. The V1 has an ‘open and close’ function operated by a built-in IR sensor, therefore there is no need for additional safety sensors or photocells.
