Heritage focus

Stonebridge has added the new Curl collection to its suite of Armor-Coat architectural hardware, combining traditional designs with a contemporary twist.

Designed for heritage properties as well modern homes, the Curl collection includes a choice of door handles, sprung entry plates, window casement handles, casement stays and cranked window espagnolettes for a full matching suite, both internally and externally.

The Curl rangeis available in two stylish finishes: flat black, with only a 30% sheen, brings a modern twist to a traditionally made product, the company said; and subtle satin steel is perfect in a classic or contemporary setting.

Stonebridge’s Armor-Coat range has been tested to BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 5, the highest possible standard. The test required products to be exposed to a neutral salt spray under controlled laboratory conditions for 480 hours and the results showed high corrosion resistance.

The Armor-Coat system also incorporates UV protection for fade resistance and has been certified as ideal for use with Accoya wood.

Ian Smith, design and brand manager at DJH Group, owners of Stonebridge, said: “The beautiful styling of the Curl range is particularly suited to listed buildings and traditional or heritage homes, bringing time-honoured character to properties that require a classic finishing touch. The distinct design of the collection also makes it a popular choice for contemporary homeowners looking to add a traditional twist. Available for a selection of applications, including lock/keyhole, multipoint entry, multipoint passage and bathroom, the Curl collection, like the rest of the Stonebridge range, is manufactured to the highest possible quality and features exquisite fine detailing.”
