Guarantee extension

Brisant has launched a new 20-year guarantee on the Sweet hardware system.

The company said it decided to leap from 10 years to 20 following the rigorous testing the handles and letterplates were put through during the last year.

Brisant put a handle in an independent test chamber and it still looked great, even after being hammered with saltwater for over 8,000 hours. That’s 30 times more time than required for the EN 1906:2012 corrosion standard.

Sweet comprises two types of handle, including Lock Lock. Brisant has created a second shape of letter plate, following customer feedback. There is now a more traditional square plate as well as the oval, edgeless shape. There are rounded, screw-less numerals and letters as well as a new two-part knocker.

Brisant has also added the on-trend rose gold, which is manufactured to the same standard as the original colours.

Nick Dutton, CEO of Brisant-Secure, said: “Brisant aims to be at the forefront of development, whether that is keeping door furniture looking great against extreme weather conditions or staying on-trend with the launch of the new rose gold.”
