Forel Spa, one of the world’s leading glass machinery manufacturers, has long prided itself in presenting its latest technology at trade fairs across the globe.

In 2023, the company attended its home fair, Vitrum, with its largest stand to date. The stand was a showcase for Forel’s latest technology, from glass processing to high-speed sealed unit lines. And the glass machinery specialist will be repeating this later this year at the world’s premium trade fair Glasstec in Dusseldorf

However, Forel also recognises that it’s not always possible to visit fairs or spend the amount of quality time you would like in order to discuss your needs and requirements – so this year the company has decided to invite guests to a series of Demo Days, which will be held at its factory near Venice, Italy.

The aim of these events is to allow visitors and customers more time to look in depth at the machinery they are interested in purchasing, run specific demonstrations for them and most importantly allow them to see behind the scenes and meet the people responsible for the business.

In the UK, Forel is primarily known for IGU manufacturing lines but the company also produces some of the most advanced glass edging and processing CNCs in the market with sales worldwide.

Brian McDonald, CEO of Forel UK and Ireland, commented: “As a business, we are keen to show our full portfolio of products to our UK & Irish customers and show how Forel can both enhance output and quality across all areas of glass manufacture.

“As part of a recent visit to our HQ, I recorded a series of films showcasing the capabilities of our machinery and explaining their features and these can be easily accessed on the Forel YouTube channels as well as other platforms.

“However, while these videos are of great assistance to customers there is nothing like physically seeing the machinery as well as being able to discuss and understand their attributes in person. That is why we are so keen for customers old and new to attend our Demo Days in Italy.

“If this is something you would like to do, please contact me or any of my colleagues in the UK so we can make the arrangements.”

The dates for the Demo Days are:

  • 13-17 May – Vertical processing line (edging, drilling and milling machines)
  • 15-19 July – High speed insulating glass line with flexible spacer applicator.

Brian concluded: “We look forward to welcoming guests this May and July, but if these dates are not convenient, then we are happy to set up separate visits to fit around you.”
