Doubled paint capacity
Apeer has launched a second automated paint line to increase capacity and efficiency while providing extra contingency cover.
Andrew Bagwell, continuous improvement manager, said: “The added capacity means we can accommodate spikes in orders and be well prepared for growing demand into the future, but it is also an added reassurance for customers that our turnaround time remains unaffected in the unlikely event of downtime on one machine.”
The two lines can either work separately or in sequence, meaning that a two-colour door can be completed with a single pass, so needing only the same drying time as single colour.
