The quick-fit Technic-AL Roof Lantern from AluFoldDirect is ready to ship now from stock.

It gives customers an all-aluminium roof lantern with a slimline appearance and excellent thermal performance, which can be fitted in under 40 minutes.

“We’ve developed a roof kit that we’ll deliver direct to site for next day installation, so customers can choose from three stock sizes and four stock colours, including a dual colour. Bespoke sizes and colours are available in just two weeks,” Craig Miller, managing director of AluFoldDirect, said.

“With no plastic trims, the 100% aluminium system uses only a square-cut profile with a thermal break. There are no bulky details, just a simple, clean, attractive roof lantern design with a beautiful finish and slim sightlines.

“The roof kit fits together neatly and quickly and is ready to seal in under 40 minutes – the best quality without the hassle. That means installations can go ahead in even the worst weather conditions. In fact, Storm Doris gave us a final test we hadn’t planned for. We left a Roof Lantern out with a cardboard liner under it. It kept the storm at bay and the liner stayed completely dry.”

Two design options are available. The contemporary four-pane RL1 lantern and the multi-pane RL2 for wider roofs. Features of the Technic-AL system include slimline curtain walling-style roof rafter bars, and clever verge overlap details that mask flashings or flat roof coatings.

Developed in-house by AluFoldDirect, the Technic-AL Roof Lantern is the second Technic-AL product, following the 2016 launch of the RD1 Entrance Door.
