East Midlands fabricator and installer, Tradeglaze, has partnered with the Lincolnshire housebuilder, Lindum Homes, on the first phase of the largest residential development undertaken in Lincoln for decades.

Located on the western edge of Lincoln, the Charterholme project will deliver 3,200 energy-efficient homes over the next 25 years alongside commercial and community infrastructure.

Tradeglaze will be supplying the Liniar window system. The system’s patented multi-chambered profile with a co-extruded bubble gasket delivers strong thermal performance, helping the homes achieve demanding energy targets beyond current Part L Building Regulations.

Tradeglaze has worked with Liniar for more than 17 years, through significant changes in the industry and wider macroeconomic challenges. The longstanding relationship is said to have played an important role in the fabricator’s growth and innovation.

Jeremy Wetherall, managing director at Tradeglaze, said:

“When choosing a window and door supplier, reliability is absolutely vital for our customers today. Product quality and performance are very important too, but for construction projects, confidence that a supplier will deliver on its word, on time, every time, is paramount.

“Liniar shares our commitment to quality, innovation and customer service. The team is always looking ahead, innovating and communicating well. This strong partnership means we can be confident in the products and service we deliver to our own customers. That matters on every project, and equally so on a complex, high-profile development like Charterholme.”

Tradeglaze specified a range of high-performance double glazing for “One At Charterholme”, the first phase of 52 energy-efficient Charterholme homes. Windows and French doors were finished in silver grey foil, specified to complement the development’s modern, future-focused design.

All windows and doors were fabricated just seven miles from the development at Tradeglaze’s 13,000ft2 factory and fitted by the company’s award-winning installation teams.

Liniar regional sales manager, Ryan Durran, commented:

“As regulations continue to evolve, there is increasing demand for fenestration products that are ready for both current and future legislation, without sacrificing stylish aesthetics.

“At Liniar, we pride ourselves on designing and developing window and door systems to meet these requirements and delivering them to our customers reliably – at scale!

“As a Future Homes Hub member and advocate of sustainable construction, we’re proud to partner with forward thinking fabricator-installers such as Tradeglaze and support projects just like this one.”
