Demand for style

Two new door handle designs are available from Steel Window Association member Steel Window Fittings (SWF), designed to answer the demand for stylish external and internal steel ironmongery, the company said.

The slim backplate (30mm), and separate matching Escutcheon, are perfect for a wide range of locks and latches. The standard backplate on both door handles allows the fixing screws to be visible for a traditional appearance; or an optional cover is supplied to conceal these screws for a more contemporary look.

The handles, which can also be used on conventional latched internal and external doors are lever-lever (or up/down), enabling them to be used with new multi-point door locking systems that SWF is developing now.

The door handles feature four independent springs that ensures that, once fitted to the door, the lever stays in the correct horizontal position. They are designed to fit slimline steel doors but they can also be fitted to wood, aluminium, PVC and composite doors.
