Corrosion protection hardware

A new range of anti-corrosive door and window hardware from Coastal Group aims to solve the problem of rusted and corroded hardware – in particular corroded locks and espag bolts.

Incorporating the Maco 4safecoating four-layer protective coating, the new Maco Tricoat hardware range of door locks, window espagnolettes and tilt and turn systems have been developed to provide enhanced corrosion protection.

The range is designed for properties in coastal locations, in areas of high pollution such as in large cities, or for use with timbers such as Accoya and oak.

Maco Tricoat exceeds Class 5 Corrosion Resistance Standards BS EN 1670:2007 by more than twice and comes with 10-year surface finish guarantee when fitted to acidic timber. It has been tested and proven to be durable in accordance with salt spray test EN ISO 9227 and has a matt finish to provide a premium look and feel.

Coastal MD Loren Jenner said: “The new range is a fantastic addition to our hardware solutions and the performance it delivers is unsurpassed, having more than proved itself in intensive corrosion tests, both under laboratory and real-world conditions.”
