Composite door manufacturer, Rockdoor, it said to have adapted quickly to the new Building Regulations for Part L by making alterations to its manufacturing processes.

This included small upgrades such as replacing double-glazed units with triple-glazed or altering the threshold to meet the new standards.

According to Rockdoor, these changes allowed it to meet new Part L regs relatively quickly compared to some other composite door manufacturers who have reportedly been given an extra 12 months to meet the latest U-value and DSER requirements.

Joint MD, Simon Bird, commented: “When we heard about the new required changes to Part L, we had to act as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

“Adaptation in this industry is crucial, with changes in consumer habits, governmental requirements and shifts in the market all contributing to the way in which we progress with the continued development of Rockdoor.

“In this instance, we are delighted that we have been able to work around the new Part L approved document and achieve compliancy, particularly when numerous other manufacturers have struggled to meet the original deadline, showing that Rockdoor is one step ahead of the competition.”

The composite door manufacturer currently offers A-C rated doors as standard across a range of traditional and contemporary door styles.
