Won over by colour and choice

Deceuninck has welcomed two new fabricators on board: Everglade Windows and Spectral Windows.

Everglade has said that its recent move to Deceuninck has “opened installers’ eyes” to the possibilities offered by high performance PVCU.

Having been with its previous systems company for 25 years, Everglade Windows added that it could see the huge potential in PVCU flush sash windows and began looking for a partner to meet this demand.

“Initially, we just wanted a flush system to complement our existing offering,” director Jay Patel said. “But when we started talking to Deceuninck we saw it had an equally great range of other products, and we realised we could do everything with one system.”

Jay said that the Deceuninck system took some of Everglade Windows’ long-standing customers by surprise.

“Some customers were looking at a smooth grey matt window and thought it was aluminium,” he said.

Meanwhile, Spectral invested £1 million in two new facilities during 2020, and produces Deceuninck’s storm and flush casement windows and doors, including the Heritage Flush window and door, 2500 and 2800 window series and Slider24 patio door, from its Walsall factory.

Spectral has also signed up for the Decalu88 bifold and Decalu163 lift-and-slide from Deceuninck Aluminium, which it manufacturers from its Kettering factory, alongside a specialist, mechanically jointed version of Deceuninck’s Flush Sash casement.

Director Jason Wilder said: “We have ambitions to be an industry-leading fabricator for colour, so having access to 30 foils from stock takes the pressure off us to hold stock in the warehouse.

“But it’s also the flexibility of Deceuninck’s offering that appealed to us. For example, being able to offer a different colour on the interior of the frame opens up even more options for the homeowner. And if an installer has a project with windows, a French door, and a slider, they can offer the same colour on the same lead time.”
