At an event sponsored by Sidey, the winners of the Scottish Design Awards 2019 were announced, celebrating the region’s best design and architecture.
Now in its 22nd year, the awards are open to architects, engineers, graphic and digital designers and consultants who delivered a relevant project in any of the judged categories.
Steve Hardy, Sidey’smanaging director, said: “These awards are now established as one of the best in the country and the quality of competition in each category seems to get even better each year. It showcases the highly impressive range of talent we have when it comes to design in Scotland, particularly in architecture.
“Design is very important to us and the products we manufacture have been used in lots of interesting and exciting projects all over the country. Because we work closely with architects and specifiers, these awards give us a great opportunity to see a superb range of stunning buildings and it’s always interesting to see how windows and doors are utilised in the design.”
The Scottish Design Awards are organised by Scottish architecture magazine Urban Realm and judged by two panels compiled of industry experts.
