Scottish depot ‘a firm fixture’

Victorian Sliders is said to have become a ‘firm fixture’ in the Scottish window market since opening an office and depot in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, three years ago.
The office and depot is home to an experienced team of six staff, including regional sales manager, Kevin Smith, who has been based at the site since it opened.
“I’ve known Victorian Sliders for about 15 years,” Kevin said. “My background is in raw PVC materials, and for many years I supplied Victorian Sliders with the PVC-U blend it uses to make EcoSlide. In fact, I delivered the first batch when the company began extruding!
“That’s given me an excellent insight into the industry, Victorian Sliders, and the EcoSlide product itself – and meant I was in a great position to explain the many benefits of that product to hundreds of installers around Scotland.
“Backing me up in the office are Elza, our office manager, Claire and Abi who generate all customer quotes within an hour, and two delivery drivers!”
“We have a showroom at the depot so installers can bring their homeowner clients, by appointment, and demonstrate how an ECOSlide sash window works.
Kevin concluded: “Sash windows have been a part of Scotland’s architecture for hundreds of years, and it’s no surprise that we’re seeing huge demand for quality, low-maintenance, easy-fit examples like EcoSlide to this day!”
