When Lincolnshire-based builder Natomar Homes approached Titan Trade Windows to work with them on two high-end new build projects, the company says that it knew Rehau’s Rio flush fit system ‘would be the perfect fit’.

The two sites, Tillbridge Road and Plough Hill Farm, are based in close proximity to each other in Lincoln. Titan Trade Windows is said to have a close relationship with Natomar Homes that spans over 15 years and delivers high-quality finishes that align with Rehau’s premium product offering.

Both Tillbridge Road and Plough Hill Farm were designed to a premium standard and needed to meet high U-values of one to meet Lincolnshire County Council’s stringent efficiency standards.

A seamless system for everyone
It was decided that Rehau’s Rio flush fit system was the ideal solution for both Tillbridge Road and Plough Hill Farm. Each site had a distinct colour of system installed: anthracite grey for Tillbridge Road and cream for Plough Hill Farm’s black barn-style houses.

Titan Trade partnered with Rehau in 2020 to offer a premium range and open up a new customer base. Rehau’s reliable supply chain and versatile profile system are said to have reduced Titan Trade’s inventory needs and supported the tight installation schedule – as was the case on both new build projects.

The Rio flush fit system is compatible with Rehau Total70, which Titan Trade also stocks, so the only additional stock that is needed for the Rio flush fit is the sash. This simplifies stock management, and the quick turnaround of three to four weeks is ideal for just-in-time delivery.

When style meets high expectations
The three parties started working together about a year before the projects commenced. Originally, the architect had specified timber windows for Plough Hill Farm, but after consulting with Titan Trade Windows, PVC-U was recommended for aesthetics and maintenance purposes.

Following a survey of the site, Titan Trade had three to four weeks to complete the installation of windows and both projects ran alongside each other. It was vital that the company had a reliable partner who could deliver within those timeframes, as well as providing a product that made the installation seamless.

Meeting Lincolnshire Council’s stringent U-value standards also impacted glazing specifications and meant triple glazing was required on both sites to increase the energy efficiency. The main technical challenge for Titan Trade Windows was selecting glass specifications that met the target U-value without compromising design.

For Titan Trade, having Rehau’s team available for consultation from the initial specification through to post-installation is vital for every project as it’s in line with the high level of service that the company offers its customers too.

Leigh Titchener, managing director at Titan Trade Windows, said: “It was great to work with Rehau on this project and really showcases why we made the switch six years ago. The premium products lend themselves perfectly to the requirements from Natomar, hitting the mark with performance and aesthetics.”

Hannah Smith, area sales manager at Rehau, said: “This project was a fantastic opportunity for the Rehau Rio flush fit to showcase its versatility and premium finish. The cream and anthracite grey really bring these projects to life and embody the aesthetic vision for both of these new build sites. It was great to work with Titan Trade to deliver this vision.”
