Potential buyer for Aperture

The administrators for Aperture Trading, who took over the running of the business on March 16, 2020, are in discussions “with a potential acquirer … for the extrusion, lamination, injection moulding and Warmcore assets, alongside the Norvik New Build and Calibre Doors business units”.

According to a letter written to customers by John Brown, supply chain director at Aperture Trading, and seen by Glass Times, the interested party is “a renowned international profile supplier”.

John continued: “Subject to a satisfactory due diligence outcome it is intended that the above business elements will be acquired and operated in situ from the current site at Huthwaite to minimise any disruption to our customer base.

“It is important to the buyer that they can establish the level of customer support and would like to work with you through these difficult times, and to that end we will have a small team (working within government guidelines safely) making contact over the coming days to address any concerns or needs you have in the near future.

“As one of the drivers of innovation and quality in our industry, the acquirer fully expects the offering to our customer base to be enhanced should the transaction proceed and looks forward to continuing relationships with our valued customers in the future.”
