New View Windows invests in Supercut 6

Fabricator-installer, New View Windows and Conservatories, has invested in upgrading its Cornwall-based manufacturing facilities with a Supercut 6 cutting and machining centre from Avantek Machinery.

Established in 2009, New View is a family run business serving new build, trade and retail customers. The team is said to be currently implementing ambitious growth plans to become market leaders in and around the South West of the UK.

Improved productivity

Office manager, Gennalee Donovan-Handy, commented: “We chose the Supercut as it has a reputation for being a very well-designed piece of kit. It’s been in operation since mid-September and we’re already seeing the benefits.

“Our brand-new Supercut is faster than the machining centre we replaced, as it cuts and routs profile at the same time. Not only has productivity improved, but the quality of the frames is also a lot better than before. We’re up from producing around 1,200 windows and doors per month to over 1,500, all to the highest manufacturing standards.”

A trusted partner

Avantek Machinery, a subsidiary of Quanex, offers short lead times, installations that are led by an expert team of field engineers, training support and an excellent aftersales service.

Gennalee said: “We’ve used Avantek for various machines, consumables and spare parts for years, and have a longstanding relationship with the team. Their products and customer service have always impressed us, so when it came to choosing a machinery supplier we could trust, it was a no brainer really.”

She continued: “Communication between the New View and Avantek teams was great throughout the installation, which went smoothly and well within schedule. The engineers spent plenty of time with us testing and making sure everything was on point, and now our Supercut is doing exactly what we need it to do.”

Avantek sales director, Jamie Munday, commented: “We recognise the importance of developing lasting partnerships with our customers rather than short, transactional relationships.

“Investing in new machinery is often a big commitment and our customers know we deliver on the promises we make. In addition to our impressive product range, we’re known for being reliable, completing installations with minimal disruption and being available to offer ongoing training and support as required.”

A bright future

With the newly upgraded production line in full swing, the New View team is said to be looking forward to realising their growth plans. Gennalee said: “We’re making fantastic products with our Supercut, and using highly energy efficient profile from Avantek’s sister company Liniar.

“We’re a Liniar approved fabricator and have been with them since 2009. It’s great that they have a strong commitment to sustainable manufacturing and we like the fact it’s a UK-based company.”

Gennalee concluded: “New View distinguishes itself through sustainably sourced, high-quality components and cutting-edge fabrication technology, positioning us as a top supplier in the South West for windows, doors, and conservatories.

“We’re extremely confident in our ability to expand our customer base and increase market share and are excited about achieving our business objectives.”
