Lead time upheld

SupaLite Tiled Roof Systems continues to uphold its lead time of seven to 10 days.

The company said it has experienced an influx of new business and enquiries since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, but has maintained the same lead time.

Celebrating a record number of orders in one week at the end of February 2021, the company said the growing demand for the SupaLite Roof was matched with enhancements in the way the business worked. This meant it was able to manage the influx of orders.

The company invested in a second new Haffner machining centre, which cost approximately £300,000, and bought into new manufacturing software – both of which further advanced its productivity when prepping jobs.

The company also strengthened its workforce with the rearrangement of roles and the introduction of several new starters.

As a result, SupaLite has experienced a sales increase of 59%, while dealing successfully with the demand and maintaining its lead time, the company said.

“The desire for home improvements has sky-rocketed since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, and at SupaLite we pride ourselves on being able to keep up with the newfound demand,” Steve Hacking, managing director of SupaLite, said.

“With the additional business we have been lucky to achieve, it is important for us to maintain the level of service our customers have been accustomed to receiving, and to ensure the many new businesses who have joined SupaLite are satisfied with our service so they continue to work with us.”
