Swisspacer won the inaugural Passive House Innovation Award at the recent Passive House Institute Darmstadt (PHI)’s International Passive House Conference, held in Gaobeidian, China.
The award was presented to Swisspacer for its warm edge spacer bar, Swisspacer Triple, developed for triple glazing. It came top out of 1,000 other certified Passive House components.
“In the past few years, there has been encouraging progress in the thermal quality of windows,” explained Benjamin Krick, managing director of the Passive House Institute.
“Thermally efficient windows perform well in terms of life cycle costs, CO2 savings and energy balance and are therefore also of interest from an economic perspective. The aim of the new Passive House Innovation Award is to create a platform that gives particularly forward-thinking products and ideas more attention and added momentum”.
